• Responsibilities:

  
  

  • Responsible for daily finance operation and accounting compliance, which include but not limited to:
  

  i. Maintain full set of accounts.

  ii. Account Payables function which entails recording and settlement of vendor invoices, reconciliation of vendor SOA etc.

  iii. Fixed Asset management, including capitalisation and lease liabilities, disposal and depreciation. 

  
  

  • Responsible for preparation of management accounts and supporting schedules in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner for management and statutory requirements. Ensure all business activities, financial activities, and reporting are compliant with financial regulations.

  
  

  • Ensure financial policies and procedures are adhered in the business process, books and records of the company. 

  
  

  • Maintain a robust controlled environment and establish financial policies and procedures to mitigate the risks and errors in the business process, books, and records of the company.

  
  

  • Liaise and follow through with outsourced accounting firm, bank, external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial on all necessary statutory requirements & compliance.

  
  

  • Other duties as assigned.

  Compensation:

  The position is full-time and the candidate will be compensated similar to industry standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Shiok Meats is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant to support the Finance Manager on day-to-day accounting activities such as book keeping, month end closing, fixed asset management, account's payable function and other adhoc duties. The candidate would also provide an all-rounded support to the finance function.

  Required Qualifications:
  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy. 
  

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in an international accounting firm and/or commercial experience. 

  Preferred Experience:
  

  • Hands-on experience in maintaining the full sets of accounts.
  

  • Experience in preparation of consolidation accounts. 

  • Good understanding of fixed assets and prior experience in creation of fixed asset register.

  • Good knowledge and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), Company Act, and Tax regulations, including the application of accounting concepts and treatment of transactions

  • Proven track record in process improvements, automation, and ERP system implementation involving manufacturing activities would be an advantage.

  • Prior working experience with an audit firm would be an advantage.
